what a soul searching type of summer kevonica & co. had this year, we had two cousins and a family friend leave us, mama carmen's one year anniversary-please pray for all of them that they finally be at peace in heaven and for the family & friends they have left on earth-and in september we had to send our beloved jet to be with them too (those of you who have pets know just how losing one of the family-house members feels), so please forgive us for the delay in posts. but through all hardships, comes an appreciation for the blessings we do have!
that brings us to some memorable june moments...
we were going to have tomas's first flight to albuquerque for mariaelena's mass, however the flight kept getting delayed and was not supposed to depart until close to 11pm cst. so, after checking our bags, going through security, eating a quick din-din standing up and people watching we decided after the last delay that we needed to turn back and get tomas to bed. instead, this was his first trip to the airport to sight-see only!
bacon for father's day by request of tomas's papa (kevin has lost his identity since tom-tom came around) and think it was a hit with tomas himself. mama put on the aggie gear as a bonus.
we get to share two family b-days together, wama and babygirl, on 6/14
and we celebrated mama carmen's one year anniversary on 6/18 by having a small graveside committal service. there is not a day we don't miss her and still can't believe that she is not just a phone call away but we always have the love we share with her to keep us keeping on. yaya had sent this to tomas and i think we all feel the same way, including mama carmen-tomas was her reason to fight as hard as she did until her last breath. love you mama from here to the sky!
for mr.t's 16 months he got to have his very first ice-pop and they are now one of his favorite treats
