we've been absent from cyber space since all the chaos began. we decided to buy a "new" house and closed may 1. the house we selected is a charming 1940 home in need of quite a bit of loving hands but location is great for us. even though it will be a few years until it becomes the complete home of our dreams it is one we will grow into and be at for a looong time. updates on the house will be mixed in.
the next task at hand was to get good ol casa carrollton ready to sell and this is when things really got exciting for us, however all the 1-1/2 month long work paid off when we were able to sell our house in the first 24 hours of being on the market.
having to get rid of stuff and stage the home was easier than packing up though. we are grateful for the month we got to have it all done but than had to set-up temporary camp until casa oak cliff (new house) phase one is complete and ready for move-in. so we have not been in our own house since july 1 and have been making due with the bare essentials.
as if this was not enough to keep up with...we are also expecting a little brother or sister for tomas to pick-on late may/early june (due date is 5/29)!
