and the return home

all the driving around required a swim workout at one of the several hotels we stayed at

and tomas wanted to wake papa very early on the last day

we did have a fun family trip but missed the other two babies-thanks tio ernesto for watching over them!

more fun in the sand

after breakfast papa went out on the boat with the groom & crew and tom-tom and i headed back to the sand but with toys this time

then it was time for a nap, snack and an early wedding (we were so glad it started early 4pm) cause knew two late nights (past 9pm) would be difficult for tomas (therefor difficult for papa & mama), as he's always been very set-in his natural clock

beautiful place

once we checked-in and unloaded we made our way to the beach/lake so tomas could feel the sand between his toes and boy did he love it (we're in the process of getting him a sand box so he's not played in sand yet just the grass and dirt outside) i thought he was gonna explode with all the excitement he had inside from the sand and shore

although the lake water was still cold he wanted to feel it and taste the rocks

we then had to hurry and get back to the villa to get ready for the rehearsal din-din



tx-la-ms-al road trip

wow-wee kevonica & co. were brave enough to venture across four state-lines to attend a wedding on lake martin in alabama

this was our first stop in shreveport, la and tomas' very first yummy taste of whataburger. we continued our journey and stayed the night in jackson, ms

we then made a stop in selma, al and mr.t took his first solo slide ride at our burger king stop and when we got out we saw this truck and thought of a new business venture for tio randy if he decides to go towards the residential side of construction

and we made one more quick leg-stretch and photo stop before our last 45min to the country club

cuties for mr.t

we've found the secret to a successful shopping trip is to have snacks for tom-tom and after finishing his two teething biscuits he decided to go for the cuties in the cart and he was able to get to three of them before we finished, so papa & tomas had to eat them when we got home

a day in the life of tomas...

after the morning feeding, play-time, a morning nap, and brunch our day got started

we made a stop at crate & barrel and mr.t couldn't be let free inside the store (he was indeed given the opportunity and was promptly picked right back up) but had great fun once we got out

then went for a push/ride and outdoor run-around at home

orange snack-time in his new tent with his little people super hero"monos" while mama got din-din ready before papa got home

grandma's bday visit

it was grandma's bday 3/24 and her, pappy & friends were on a trip celebrating that weekend, so we got to celebrate with her the following (3/31).  we went to the dallas world aquarium (a must do if you visit dfw, mama carmen used to take me every few years-no matter how old i was, she was always trying to show me new things).

taken from tom-tom's perspective-hi grandma! he is way too heavy to carry for extended periods of time but still too small to walk on his own for long (the hard life of being a toddler)

mr.t did do great and was exhausted by the time we were almost done...but he can't miss stuff for long, he was up before we left and didn't nap on the ride home

after lunch and a good nap in his crib for mr.t and a round of golf for papa we headed over to the armendariz casa for din-din, floats and some jumping



gotta have my tissues

mr.t is quite the persistent & smart little guy and physically very strong for his stature, seldom does he not accomplish what he sets out to do and this was no different

he dropped his tissues in the hamper but when his arms were to short to dig them out, he unwedged it (we use them to block the stairs on laundry day, or should say we used-to-use them) knocked it over, climbed in, retrieved the tissues and was on to the next. do notice he's got on mama's 'chew beads', he likes having things around his neck, chew beads, the camera case, even mama's maternity undies (we'll get a photo of that the next time he gets a hold of them)

outdoor fun

what a crew we have, we don't get too much work done (there is always someone being corralled back to the house) at least we all enjoy the outdoors!

shades

as "selective" as mr.t is he actually enjoys wearing his sunglasses and will keep them on for a long time, which is good to protect his eyes from the strong texas sun (and he just looks so cute too, even though he's got a small peanut head)
