light the night walk donation request

tomas wanted to request donations for his first (out of the mama's tummy) light the night walk for the leukemia & lymphoma society and decided to take some photos with his lls teddy-this will be the first walk without mama carmen since she was diagnosed in 2005. please give any amount you can afford it is all appreciated from patients and families alike.  blood cancers touch so many lives from the very young to the very old.  thanks!

and after all the outdoor activities we discovered the entire family was attacked by mosquitos but tomas was the only one with bites on the face-he got in a fight with a mosquito and poor mr.t lost.

kitty toy no more

tomas found one of jet's toys that jet lost some time back and has taken ownership-it is now one of his few favorite toys! it took him some time to figure out that carrying it in his mouth would allow him to crawl at the same time (he tried crawling with one hand and one elbow for a couple of days) - he has the best of both worlds and enjoys bringing it to me throughout the day

mr.t has crazy hear when he wakes up from his naps, it's a wonder he's getting any rest with all the moving going on in the crib...these are from different days

1st swing ride

while on their walk/jogs, mama has been telling tomas he had to wait for papa to be with us to take his first swing at the park...

today while mama was at home cleaning the floors papa went ahead and took mr.t for a walk and a trip on the swings so mama missed out on his first swing but as papa put it "you get to do all the firsts with him" so kevin is right (you wont hear veronica saying that very often) mama is happy they got to share this experience together!

state fair of texas 2011

a visit to the state fair was a must this year since it was both papa and tomas' first time there-we had a super time together the three of us outside of the house!

while papa & mama got to eat all the yummy fair foods mr.t got an exotic mango & pear meal with pear, prune & oatmeal juice

his first portrait was completed, he was the perfect subject and the artist was quick on the draw

he loved all the animals at the petting zoo, there were so many cute babies just like him running around in the pens

as kevin pointed out, breast feeding with tomas could be worse, there could be 7 of him fighting for a spot

he did fall asleep right before we got to all the rides, so we will be back next year for him to enjoy those

we even decided to save gas and try out the dart railway that dropped us off at the front gates, and glad we did it was relaxing not having to drive and park - all while helping out mother earth, we will be using mass transit more often.

just in case...

mr.t got a new floor in his area for when he gets topsy-turvy on us.  he seems to be all over the place now, and wants to be on two legs instead of four, so this is just a little something to break his fall when he comes a tumbling down.  he very much enjoys treating mama as his personal jungle gym but would often bump his head on the floor-now it is aye-okay if he does.
